Mega Fans are irked with Dookudu producer claiming that their film is a bigger hit than Magadheera. They have spent lot of money to pass this message by conducting a huge event for celebrating the fifty days feat. However, fact remains that number one record is still intact with Magadheera and Dookudu is far behind it at the second spot.

Mega fans have released paper statements and also put up huge flex boards challenging that they would pay 1 lakh rupees to anyone who proves that Dookudu have surpassed Magadheera in one single territory in Andhra Pradesh. Anil Sunkara was clearly disturbed with this open challenge and tried to console Prince fans by giving a similar statement that he would pay 1 crore rupees if anyone proves Dookudu collections are fake.

This was brought to the notice of Allu Sirish and he reacted in a blunt way throwing an open challenge to Anil Sunkara who made the above statement on Facebook. "Office notice board, Facebook lo pedithe evadu chustadu. Dare unte press meet petti ee challenge declare cheyyamanu," he said to a Prince fan. Surely this issue is gaining heat by the day and we can expect an official counter to Anil's claims very soon.

Magadheera runs for two years in single theatre

Magadheera will be completing two years of successful run in single theatre in this week.
It was released on 31st july 2009 and has broken all records of first day collections, first week collections, highest number of centers for 50 days, 100 days, 175 days and 200 days.
This movie ran for 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 and now two years nonstop at Vijayalakshmi theatre in Kurnool.
Earlier Pokiri had the record of running for 500 days in single theatre and now Magadheera has created unbeatable record !
This movie is dubbed into tamil and malayalam and its collections in those languages too are good enough, indicating the stamina of this movie.

Surprised! Yes, its true.  In a press meet ,when a reporter questioned VV Vinayak about the film result, he said, "Badrinath is running successfully all over Andhra Pradesh. Except in USA, Badrinath made good collections in rest of the regions. The movie is considered as super hit in Kerala, Hit in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh". He also added that Badrinath is ready to break records and will celebrate 50 days in 225 to 250 theaters.

Magadheera Completed 700 Days: Highest Ever In Tollywood

Tollywood’s all time biggest blockbuster Magadheera has bagged yet another memorable record. This film which was released on July 31, 2009 has been continuously running in Kurnool town since then. Today it has completed seven hundred days run and it is touted to be the first ever for a Telugu film.

Earlier, Pokiri ran for 500 days in same Kurnool town and Magadheera which eventually surpassed Pokiri’s record to be the highest grosser has now set a new high in Tollywood history in terms of running days.

Magadheera is a Money Machine!

Tollywood’s biggest ever blockbusterMagadheera has collected a staggering Rs. 70 crore theatrical share in Telugu. After two years this film was dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam and the money making spree continues. Maaveeran(Tamil) and Dheera (Malayalam) are into fourth week now and are collecting good collections in respective states.

Maaveeran is still running in 55 theatres in Chennai and as per the producers it has collected five crores gross till now in Tamilnadu. Dheera too is running to packed houses and it has grossed 1.2 crores to date.

The final share from Tamil and Malayalam versions would be close to six to seven crores as per the trend. If the satellite and DVD rights of these versions and Telugu version are included Magadheera’s final tally would be close to ninety crores. This film is surely a money machine! 

Badrinath’s first week area-wise collections

Allu Arjun’s latest film Badrinath, which was directed by V V Vinayak, is turning out to be the biggest hit in his career. Tamannaah played the lead role and Allu Aravind had produced the film on Geetha Arts banner. A day after Allu Aravind announced that Badrinath has broken several records right in the first week of its release we have received the area wise collections report from several corners of AP and other states. Allu Arjun’s earlier film did pretty well in Nizam area and Badrinath was no different. Reports suggest that the film has collected a share of around Rs 5.37 crores in the first week alone. In East Godavari, the film collected a share of around Rs 1.05 crores and in West Godavari it was around Rs 95 lakhs. In Krishna district, the film made around Rs. 1.01 crores in the first week and in Guntur and Vizag, the film collected a share of around Rs 1.45 crores and Rs 1.50 crores respectively. However, the biggest surprise was in Ceded. Badrinath broke all previous records of Allu Arjun’s films in that area and sources say that the film collected a share of around Rs 3.90 crores, which is a new record for Bunny.

Elsewhere, in Kerala and Karnataka, where Allu Arjun has a huge fan base, the film opened to huge numbers in the first week. In Kerala, the film was off to a flying start and it, reportedly, collected a share of around Rs. 1.25 crores and in Karantaka, the figure has been pegged at around Rs 2.70 crores. Taking all these collections into account, the film has opened to huge numbers all across the state, despite the divided talk and not so great reviews. It remains to be seen if the film manages to keep the momentum going in the coming few weeks as well.

Badrinath Kerala Collections gives Allu Arjun a commercial hit

Allu Arjun is continuing his hits in Kerala. His latest film Badrinath is doing well at box-office.As per the trade reports Badrinath has collected around Rs. 67 lakh in Kerala in just three days. This is on of the biggest collections to any dubbed film. The number is even bigger than some of the super hit Malayalam star’s film.

On the other hand two other straight Malayalam films released along with Badrinath, but the combined collections of both of these films in first three days is not even even half of Badrinath. The distribution and promotion cost of Badrinath is Rs 1.20 crore if the movie continues for next one more week with same collections, the movie reaches break even and can be considered as commercial hit.

Despite of the poor reviews earned from critics, Badrinath resulted as the biggest openers of (1^st weekend) 2011 so far. The action epic drama has collected a whopping sum of 7.52 crores on the first day as per Geetha Arts and the weekend collections were too fabulous.

Shakti and Teenmaar also didn’t register such high collections in its first weekend says the trade pundits. Badrinath has raised Allu Arjun’s stardom. Though Allu Arjun has done 9 films prior to this, he was not considered as a top star. But Badrinath has proved that Allu Arjun can pull off large crowds and register superb openings at the Box-Office.

However, the film has been earning a poor talk for its story and weak screenplay though the Stylish Star has put in his efforts. It would be difficult for the film in the long run to recover is investment considering its huge budget.

Badrinath's Guntur rights sold for a whopping price

The promotion blitzkrieg for one of the most awaited films of 2011,Badrinath has just begun. Right from tidbits about the film's shooting tooutdoor promotions, the marketing is expected to be quite extensive togenerate huge buzz about the film. The film starring Allu Arjun, Tamannaahand Prakash Raj is also one of the most expensive films made in Telugu andthe fact that V V Vinayak has directed the film, is the icing on the cake.The film has generated so much interest in buyers that distributors andbuyers are quoting huge prices to secure the rights of the film in severalareas. A source tells us that the film's
rights for Guntur area have beensold for around Rs 2.75 crores! Last year, despite bad reviews and negativetalk, Allu Arjun's Varudu collected around Rs 1.34 crores in its first weekin Guntur. With the pre-release hype with Badrinath has, it'll beinteresting to see how the film opens in all areas including Guntur.
