The pre-release buzz of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan Panjaa has been quite positive and the business in all areas has been extrodinary exceeding even Mahesh's Dookudu. In most of the areas the distributors have paid record prices to acquire the rights.
According to reliable sources, the producers have already filled their pockets with over Rs 50 crores (Distribution Rights, Satellite Rights and Audio Rights). The makers of Panjaa have proved that utilising the potential of a star is always a good way to make a good sum of money.
Panjaa is releasing in 1800+ theatres worldwide which will be showing more than 7000 shows on the opening day. The trade pundits were expecting anything not less than Rs 50 crores gross in the first week, going by the track record of Pawan Kalyan who is known for thumping openings. Notably, Pawan's flop flick 'Teen Maar' has been holding the first day gross (Rs 9.5 crores) record till Dookudu came into the picture. This is a proof to show that irrespective of hits or flops, Pawan Kalyan has a strong market and his craze is truly unmatchable. Stars come and go but very few will succeed in leaving their own mark and Pawan Kalyan is one of those rare ones. Kudos to Powerstar!!
