Badrinath's Guntur rights sold for a whopping price


The promotion blitzkrieg for one of the most awaited films of 2011,Badrinath has just begun. Right from tidbits about the film's shooting tooutdoor promotions, the marketing is expected to be quite extensive togenerate huge buzz about the film. The film starring Allu Arjun, Tamannaahand Prakash Raj is also one of the most expensive films made in Telugu andthe fact that V V Vinayak has directed the film, is the icing on the cake.The film has generated so much interest in buyers that distributors andbuyers are quoting huge prices to secure the rights of the film in severalareas. A source tells us that the film's
rights for Guntur area have beensold for around Rs 2.75 crores! Last year, despite bad reviews and negativetalk, Allu Arjun's Varudu collected around Rs 1.34 crores in its first weekin Guntur. With the pre-release hype with Badrinath has, it'll beinteresting to see how the film opens in all areas including Guntur.
Allu Aravind has produced the film on Geetha Arts banner. MM Keeravani hascomposed the music and Ravi Varman is the cinematographer. The film opens intheatres on June 10.
