Shakti movie review | ntr shakti movie review

Shakti Movie Review| NTR  Shakti movie review|Shakti Telugu movie review| Shakti  telugu movie rating| shakti  genuine review

Film: Shakti
Starring: NTR,Ileana,Jackie Shroff,Sonu Sood
Director: Meher Ramesh
Producer: Ashwini Dutt
Banner: Vyjayanthi Movies
Music: Mani Sharma
Rating: 2.75/5

The Tollywood’s biggest budgeted film till date Shakti starring A1 Star NTR.Jr and  pears slim beauty Ileana has hit the screens worldwide on 1st April. Made with a budget of 45 crores on Vyjayanthi Movies banner, Meher Ramesh wielded the megaphone for the film.

Story:
Mahadevaraya (Prabhu) is the Union defence minister and his father (SP Balasubrahmanyam) is from Rayala’s dynasty. Their forefathers give them a miracle sword and a Jwalamukhi (a diamond), which help them open the Maha Shakti Peetham, the highest powerful place than the Ashta Dasa Shakti Peethams across the country. The road to the temple is invisible so as the temple. It will come to light once in 27 years and the invisible temple is being safeguarded by one Rudra (NTR). Some Egyptians wanted to get the Trishulam in the temple to revive the lives of the mummies of their forefathers and become supreme. An Egyptian Pharaoh Mukhta (Sonu Sood) decides to bring the Trishulam at any cost and dies in the hands of Rudra and Rudra dies in the hands of Janakiram (Jackie Shroff), who was the minister with Mahadevaraya’s father. He snatches the powerful sword and kills Mahadevaraya’s parents too. However, the diamond remains with Mahadevaraya. What happens next should be seen on-screen.

Performance:
NTR as Shakti is okay. He has maintained good comedy timing and has done some impressive dances though the tunes are not that melodious. However, the second role (Rudra) played by him did not suit him at all. Ileana has just filled the glamour slot. Neither, she had any scope to perform nor has anything to do with the film. Manjari Phadnis, who played the wife of Rudra is also wasted, as she too had no role to play but to give birth to Shakti. Despite a huge star cast like Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff, Sayaji Shinde, Prabhu, the director has failed to make use of any of their talents. SP Balasubrahmanyam’s role is little better, as he narrated the story in a perfect voice instead of taking a voice over by some others. Pooja Bedi is atrocious, as she failed to emote at all. Daniel’s character is superfluous and no human being could do such things. Comedy department has taken a backseat in the film.

Technical:
When it comes to the technical crew, Mani Sharma should be blamed first for giving such a poor audio for such a high-budget film. Neither the songs have the melody to listen, nor their presentation on the screen. The choreography of songs is also unimpressive. Dialogues by Satyanand are unimpressive. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy is good as he could capture the beauty of various locales of the shooting. Editing by Praveen is average. Director Meher Ramesh should take the blame for the poor narration of the film and the exaggerated storyline

Remarks:
The audiences just can’t understand how the director has convinced a senior producer like Aswini Dutt or a seasoned artist like NTR on the link between Egyptians and Shakti Peethams in India. In just one word, Meher Ramesh has made all the audience ‘April Fools’ on the ‘All Fool's Day’.
Analysis:
The first half of the film runs on a slow pace in a typical Telugu film style with NTR as a guide and few comic scenes on Ali, Krishna Bhagavan, Dharmavarapu Subramaniam. The interval bang is quite good, where NTR reveals the look of an NSG Commando secret agent. The last ten minutes before the interval leaves you pin high hopes on the second half. However, the second half of Shakti lets down your expectations completely. The Maharudra (NTR) characterization in the flashback episode lacks punch and energy and the costumes were another let down. The climax of the film is wrapped up in a hurried way with illogical sequences and senseless script.
While NTR’s performance, production values and the cinematography are the plus points, Meher Ramesh’s direction and screenplay, editing and Rudra’s characterization are the let down’s.
Plus: NTR dialogues, Ileana glamour, Art & VFX, Songs
Minus: Storyline, direction, screenplay

Final Verdict
Just the title has Shakti… !

Dongala Muta Telugu Movie Review

Dongala Muta Telugu Movie Review| Dongala Muta movie review|dongala mutha movie review| dongala mutha telugu movie review

Movie : Dongala Muta
Banner: A Shreya Productions
Casting: Ravi Teja, Charmi, Lakshmi Manchu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Brahmaji, Brahmanandam
Music: Amar Mohile
Producer: Ram Gopal Varma
Story, Screenplay & Direction: Ram Gopal Varma

Rating: 2.5/5

Story:
Sudhir and Rani (Raviteja and Charmi) are husband and wife, who get caught up in a deserted place where there is nothing except a resort. They look for a mechanic to repair the car. So they decide take some rest in that resort. Soon they discover that they were trapped in that resort. They come to know that they are caught in a dangerous situation. How they find a way out of that place is the remaining up this story.

Performances:
Ravi Teja as Sudheer suited the role and did extremely well in combination episodes with Charmi.  He perform a serious kind of role was excellent.
Charmi is as usual bubbly and looked glamorous. Her facial expressions exactly reflect the fear and anxiety that the film of such genre needs. Charmi is apt in her role effortlessly and gave an extremely natural performance.
Prakash Raj turns in a cool show as the  cop who unveils the mystery by collecting the clues. His role in Dongala Mutha would be another memorable role in his career like that of Anthahpuram.
Lakshmi Manchu with her first film itself was showered with praises. Though her role is limited she performed well.
Brahmanadam and Sunil showed their talent again.
Subbaraju performed well within the scope of his role. Brahmaji gets a sensible and a good role in the film while Supreet did complete justice. All three of them maintained the suspense factor well.

Analysis:
Dongala Mutha doesn’t carry any content which is appealing. The first half of the film is good but the second half is pathetic and boring. However, the movie will be watched only for his technicalities, otherwise nothing is found interesting in the film.

Tehnicalities:
Dialogues are bad at the best. All the actors repeat the same word in many scenes. This film is shot on 5D Canon cameras and does it bring a revolution.
Final Word: The 5 Day shooting is the Best part of the Film. Nothing Else about it.

Kudirithe Kappu Coffee Movie Review

Kudirithe Kappu Coffee Movie Review & Rating

Movie: Kudirithe Kappu Coffee
Cast: Varun Sandesh, Suma Bhattacharya, Sukumari, Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao, Sivannarayana, Tanikella Bharani etc
Banner
: Moonwater Pictures & Shivas Productions
Music: Yogishwara Sharma
Producers: Mahi & Shiva
Story,Screenplay & Direction: Ramana Salva

My RATING : 2.75/5

Story:
Venu (Varun Sandesh) friend commits suicide because of love. Venu doesn’t get impressed by his friend’s reason to die. Venu’s father sends him to Coorg to improve the business of coffee shop, which he had given away to his close friend’s mother Malathi teacher. Venu however does not reveal his identity to them. Lasya, the granddaughter of Malathi completes Hotel Management and is also in plans to turn the Coffee Shop into a top class resort.  Venu confronts Lasya (Suma Bhattacharya) and both of them works together to get an old lady (who also happens to be Lasya’s grandmother) out of her troubles. In this process Lasya falls in love with Venu but he is completely against it. Does he change his opinion and how? That sums up this film.
Performances:
It’s a different characterization for Varun Sandesh and he does justice to his role. It’s a serious character. The only negative in Varun Sandesh’s work in this film. Varun Sandesh looks differently in clean shave,  However, compared to his earlier films Varun has been improved in his dialogue delivery. So, Varun has justified to his role.
Debutant Suma Battacharya looked good in few scenes and performance wise, she is convincing.
Tanikella Bharani is good and so is the old lady. Sivannarayana is fine. Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao lacks ease.
Technical Aspects:
Director Ramana Salva has come up with a distinct storyline but somehow. Director Ramana Salva has a great visual sense and a poetic taste. He penned few of the scenes really well. But, he couldn’t execute them convincingly on screen. Since this film don’t have regular commercial padding, it is extremely important for any director to get the key emotional scenes right. Narration of the movie is slow.
Santhosh Rai’s cinematography is an big asset for KKC. The Locations, which from Karnataka were fresh and nicely captured. Yogeshwar Sharma music is very nice and  appreciable. The songs he scored for this movie are good and soothing. His background music is also commendable.
Analysis:
Ramana Salva’s story has a purpose and a touch of novelty. But the way it was dealt doesn’t impress many. It would be hard for anyone to connect with the film as the director consistently disturbs you with his ill paced screenplay and never lets you get involved in the film. All the situations are purely dramatic. Although the concept is realistic the director opted to dramatize it and that is where this coffee tastes sour.

Final Word:
Kudirithe Kappu Coffee is a simple film with a predictable story line.

KSD Appalraju Movie Genuine Review

KSD AppalRaju Movie Review & Rating(3/5)

Movie: KSD AppalRaju
Story,Screenplay & Direction: Ramgopal Varma
Cast: Sunil, Colours Swathi, Sakshi Gulati, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, etc
Music: Koti
Cinematography: Sudhakar Yekkanti
Editing: Praveen Pudi
Producer: Kiran Koneru

Banner: Shreya Productions
RATING: 2.75/5

Story
Appalaraju (Sunil) who is an avid film buff comes to Hyderabad with an aim to become a top film director. He has a heroine oriented script Nayaki, with which he impresses a smalltime producer Rakhi (Raghu Babu). Later on a top heroine Kanishka (Sakshi Gulati) gets bowled over by Appalaraju’s script and readily accepts to star in it. The hero character is too small in it but Kanishka convinces her boy friend and top hero Babu (Adarsh) to be a part of the film. So, Nayaki turns out to be a star studded film in making. However, Kanishka and Babu breaks up and in comes KT (Ajay) an upcoming superstar into the film. This irks Babu and he tries in every possible way to put breaks on Nayaki. On the other hand, Appalraju who was earlier stubborn in changing his script for commercial conveniences and starry glitches starts to make a film according to the hero and producer will. His aim to make a new wave film doesn’t get fulfilled but he becomes a successful film director and he also bags a Gurram award as the best comedy director with Nayaki.

Highlights:

* RGV was successful in creating characters that both the film folks and the media folks will be able to connect with real time personalities but not for general audience.
* The song which has dupes of Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna doing few antics gets huge applause in theaters
* The song on film directors hitting directly with their names mesmerizes the audiences.
* Sunil’s dances
* Lyrics on a whole and especially ‘cinema mayam’

Drawbacks:

* Lengthy narration

Final Word:
KSD Appalaraju is a satirical movie with wrong taking. Ram Gopal Varma has tried to show in different manner, but it's gone totally diffe'rent'.

Gaganam Movie Genuine Review

Gaganam Movie Review & Rating(3.5/5)
Movie: Gaganam
Cast: Akkineni Nagarjuna, Prakash Raj, Poonam Kaur, Sana
Director: Radha Mohan
Producer: Dil Raju
Music: Pravin Mani
Banner: Sri Venkateswara Creations

RATING:3.5/5

STORY
The movie takes off with terrorists hijacking an airplane with 75 passengers, which is from Chennai to Delhi, making an emergency landing at Tirupati. A minister, a leading actor, a doctor, a father, a small kid and her family from Pakistan and a father are among its passengers. The hijackers demand for the release of their terrorist leader Yousuf Khan from prison. Home secretary Vishwanath (Prakash Raju), National Security adviser, along with National Security Guards officer Raveendra (Nagarjuna) comes down to Tirupati for handling the situation. Initially, the Government refuses commando operation and releases Yousuf Khan from prison, however Yousuf Khan gets killed on a road accident in the travel. Now the drama starts, how do Raveendra and his team accomplish their mission and frees the passengers from hijackers? Watch it on big-screens.
PERFORMANCES
Nagarjuna undoubtedly is the show stealer as a commando, with his charm and dignified looks. He played a distinct and a challenging role and has excelled in it.
Prakash Raj is as usual at his best in the limited role of Home Secretary. Poonam Kour as airhostess is good, Vijay as Colonel, Ravi as pilot are perfect, Harshavardhan as reporter is convincing, Pridhvi as film-actor could have done better. Brahmanandam as film-director is good.
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT
KV Guhan’s cinematography is the major asset for this movie. Major part of the film is limited to two locations. But you hardly notice that it is confined to limited locations due to Guhan’s superb camera work. Background score is riveting in key scenes and just okay in few. Editing is fine. Dialogue could’ve been better. Production values are good.

Radha Mohan is the real hero for this film. He has thrown a challenge to himself to keep the audience interested for two hours without any diversions. He came out in flying colors. His work is splendid in the second hour and it holds the key for Gaganam’s performance at the box office.

ANALYSIS
This is the first time that a Telugu movie is completely focused on a Hijack drama from first frame to the end. Not just that, Gaganam is different in many ways and moreover a very racy movie. Although the movie stars Nagarjuna, it doesn’t have songs, nor does it have physical fights for the star. It is content driven, screenplay based movie. Genre specific movie.

Director Radha Mohan (who won appreciation for his earlier movie, Akashamantha) puts together a tight narrative and does not give in to the temptation of stuffing the film with either songs, or separate comedy track. At the run time of about 2 hours, the movie doesn’t slack at anytime. Though it starts off rather unenthusiastically but it hooks you to the story as the movie progresses. Second half is riveting.

FINAL STATEMENT
Gaganam is different movie and very nice for all movie lovers. Nagarjuna’s charming performance, director’s narration in the second half, and short run time are its strength. All those who crave for good cinema would definitely appreciate it.
Go & watch it on Silver Screens.

Vareva Telugu Movie Genuine Review

Vareva Telugu Movie Review & Rating(2/5)

Movie: Vareva
Cast: Goutham, Shambhavi, Brahmanandam, Ashish Vidyarthi
Director: Maheswara Rao
Producer: Maheswara Rao
Banner: Movie Miracles
Music: Mahesh Shankar

RATING : 2/5

Gautham's Vareva has released to the big-screens. This is his second film, while his first film 'Pallakilo Pelli Kuthuru' failed to create the mark at Box-Office. Now, his 2nd film Vareva has released on 28th January.
Story
Rishi (Gautam) is an engineering student who fells for his co student Sandhya (Shambavi) for which the latter reciprocates. Sandhya’s father approves their love and the couple comes to Vizag to get the blessings of Rishi’s mother. In Vizag, Rishi gets attacked by some goons. He comes to know that they are sent by Bhupathi (Ashish Vidhyardhi). Gautam accidentally kills brother of Bhupati in an incident and now he avenges his brother’s death. Rishi tries to convince Bhupati to leave him alone as he killed his brother unknowingly. But Bhupati doesn’t convince and gives him a chance by telling him to hide in some place for one month. He says that if he doesn’t find him in this one month he will kill him. Gautam disagrees to it and tells Bhupati that he will be available for him for one week and challenges to kill him in that week. If he misses Bhupati has to leave Gautam alone as per the agreement. Rest of the story is how Gautam survives from Bhupati’s men in that week.
Performances
Gautham is yet to learn a lot on his acting skills. However, he is good at dancing and fights.
Debutant lady Shambavi is just for her looks. She does not register any impact on her role in terms of acting.
Brahmanandam could have been given a good role. Master Bharath’s role is too loud and at times irritating. Ashish Vidyardhi is okay. Rest of the cast Venu Madhav, Vennela Kishore, Krishna Bhagavan and other roles too were badly handled.
Analysis
Director Mahi handled the film poorly with bad script. Mahi’s screenplay didn’t help. Comedy is pale and songs are bad adding to the woes.

Gopichand 's Wanted(2011) Telugu Movie Review

Gopichand's Wanted(2011) Telugu Movie Review(Genuine)

Film: Wanted
Starring: Gopichand, Deeksha Seth
Director: B.V.S. Ravi
Producer: V.Anand Prasad
Banner: Bhavya Creations
Music: Chakri

Rating: 2.75/5

Gopichand "Wanted" under the direction of B.V.S. Ravi, along with Deeksha Seth has hit the screens world-wide. Gopichand, who is looking for a good break may get dissapointed with again with this movie result.

Story
Rambabu (Gopichand) is a happy going guy with his family members. He falls in love with a house surgeon Nandini (Deeksha Seth) when she saves his mom’s life. Rambabu chases her for his love and at times saves her from villians. He asks Nandini, what he needs to do, to prove his love. Nandini asks him to kill Basava Raju (Prakash Raj), who killed her father (Nazar), an honest police officer and her entire family. Rambabu finally goes after the villians and kills Basava Raju.

Performances
Gopichand has done similar kind of roles, good number of times and it’s time for Gopichand to take special care on scripts and avoid films like Wanted, which has a routine stuff with thin storyline. Deeksha Seth is certainly the glamor of the film with her enough oomph and looks. She did reasonably well to her role, but needs to improve interms of acting to make it big in Tollywood. Prakash Raj is perfect as villain but it’s another regular role for him. Subbaraju is apt, Ahuti Prasad, Chandramohan, Jayasudha and Nazar did their justice to their roles. Brahmanandam generates few laughs and Ali is 'OK' in his limited role.

Analysis
Wanted is a regular routine zoom without any excitement. The first-half of the film moves in a hope, looking out for good second-half. But the second half disappoints terribly with a small storyline, predictable flashback in the lines of Kalyan Ram’s Athanokkade. Watch it for Gopichand and Deeksha Seth’s only.

Alaa Modalaindi Movie Review(Genuine)

Alaa Modalaindi Movie Genuine Review & Rating

Movie  : Ala Modalaindi
Cast : Nani, Nitya Menon
Director  : Nandini Reddy
Producer : KL Damodar Prasad
Banner : Sri Ranjith Movies
Music : Kalyani Malik
Rating: 3.25/5

Nani, Nitya Menon starrer Ala Modalaindi is a  new romantic movie. Ala Modalaindi is a romantic comedy and it stays sincere to the genre. Debutante director Nandini Reddy takes up this challenge and comes up with a fresh treatment.Nitya Menon as a heroine with Ala Modalaindi. The film also casts Sneha Ullal and Kirti Karbanda in cameo roles and Ashish Vidyarthi, Chaitanya, Rohini, Pragathi, CVL Narasimha Rao in key roles.

Performances: The performances of the lead characters are definitely a plus to Ala Modalaindi.
Nani gives an energetic performance throughout with ease in his dialogues and body language.
Nitya Menon gives an amazing performance in his debutant film. She is a treat to watch with her cute looks. The actress dubbed her own voice and also sang couple of songs which is praiseworthy.
Ashish Vidhyarti is perfect as a comedy villain, Sneha Ullal does a convincing job in the cameo role, Rohini as hero’s mother does justice to the role. Snehageetham Chaitanya is good. Hemanth does an entertaining role. Rest of the roles made their presence felt to the story.

Technical:
Kalayani Malik’s background score was good and the songs which were shot in some real locations are impressive. Cinematography by Arjun Jena was a minus point with the dull visual appeal. Editing could have been better in the first-half but Ala Modalaindi has good script and some fresh dialogues.
Director Nandini Reddy showcased her directorial skills with a good script but screenplay could have been better as few scenes made the viewers bored. First few scenes in the film were boring and fails to grab the viewers attention but the movie slowly picks up its momentum and keeps you entertained with laugh out loud scenes in the last forty minutes of run time.

Analysis:
Ala Modalaindi has some freshly written scenes and every once in a while it impresses you with that intelligent writing. Although film has some hiccups in the middle as the screenplay lags, it never loses the audience attention due to witty dialogue and wonderful performances. Nandini Reddy throws few surprises towards the end when we expect the film to end on a routine note. That has turned out to be the major asset to this film.

Last half hour is a laugh riot. That itself is worth your ticket price. Rest of the film is a bonus. People who love watch romantic comedies shouldn’t miss this one.

Golconda High School Movie Review(Genuine)

Golconda High School Movie Review & Rating(3/5)

Cast : Sumanth, Swathi, Subbaraju, Shafi
Director : Indraganti Mohana Krishna
Producer : Ram Mohan.P
Banner : Art Beat Capital Pvt Ltd
Music : Kalyan Malik
Rating: 3/5

Sumanth, Swathi starrer Golconda High School is made inspired from the book ‘The Men With in’. Indraganti, who proved his mettle with Asta Chamma has come up with this sport-centric film. The whole movie is made on the backdrop of Golconda High school with cricket as the central theme. Here is the High school movie review.

Story:
Golconda High school students were once champions in cricket. However, it looses its glory as the time passes by. Now, the trustee member Kireeth (subbaraju) plans to put an IIT coaching centre in GHS playground. The school principal Viswanatham (Tanikella Bharani) requests an alumini and cricket champion, Sampath (sumanth) to come as coach and bring the glory back. Sampath agrees to this and makes a challenge with Kireeth that if their team wins the trophy, the playground will be used for sports and Kireeth will resign as trustee, else the decision will be made by Kireeth. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Technical Dept:
Background score by Kalyani Malik is an asset to the film. Sirivennela’s inspiring lyrics in songs need a special mention. Cinematography by Senthil was good and editing was nice and the dialogues were simple . The screenplay at times seems to have lost its grip but the climax grabs everyone’s attention.

My View:
Golconda High School is not exceptional, it just like many sport-centric films. The movie also inspires the present Education System in this Corporate world. The 1st half of the film goes slowly, the 2nd half of the movie goes with a positive note especially the climax is executed well. It's a good clean film to watch with the entire family.
