Story:
Venu (Varun Sandesh) friend commits suicide because of love. Venu doesn’t get impressed by his friend’s reason to die. Venu’s father sends him to Coorg to improve the business of coffee shop, which he had given away to his close friend’s mother Malathi teacher. Venu however does not reveal his identity to them. Lasya, the granddaughter of Malathi completes Hotel Management and is also in plans to turn the Coffee Shop into a top class resort.  Venu confronts Lasya (Suma Bhattacharya) and both of them works together to get an old lady (who also happens to be Lasya’s grandmother) out of her troubles. In this process Lasya falls in love with Venu but he is completely against it. Does he change his opinion and how? That sums up this film.
Performances:
It’s a different characterization for Varun Sandesh and he does justice to his role. It’s a serious character. The only negative in Varun Sandesh’s work in this film. Varun Sandesh looks differently in clean shave,  However, compared to his earlier films Varun has been improved in his dialogue delivery. So, Varun has justified to his role.
Debutant Suma Battacharya looked good in few scenes and performance wise, she is convincing.
Tanikella Bharani is good and so is the old lady. Sivannarayana is fine. Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao lacks ease.
Technical Aspects:
Director Ramana Salva has come up with a distinct storyline but somehow. Director Ramana Salva has a great visual sense and a poetic taste. He penned few of the scenes really well. But, he couldn’t execute them convincingly on screen. Since this film don’t have regular commercial padding, it is extremely important for any director to get the key emotional scenes right. Narration of the movie is slow.
Santhosh Rai’s cinematography is an big asset for KKC. The Locations, which from Karnataka were fresh and nicely captured. Yogeshwar Sharma music is very nice and  appreciable. The songs he scored for this movie are good and soothing. His background music is also commendable.
Analysis:
Ramana Salva’s story has a purpose and a touch of novelty. But the way it was dealt doesn’t impress many. It would be hard for anyone to connect with the film as the director consistently disturbs you with his ill paced screenplay and never lets you get involved in the film. All the situations are purely dramatic. Although the concept is realistic the director opted to dramatize it and that is where this coffee tastes sour.

Final Word:
Kudirithe Kappu Coffee is a simple film with a predictable story line.
Inka Kavala..!
