Prajarajyam officially merged into Congress party

Today, election commission of india officially approved the merger of the Prajarajyam Party with the Congress.
CEC has sent the documents approving the merger to the Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal in Hyderabad. With this, the PRP ceases to exist as per the EC records.
C Ramachandraiah said “copies of the EC papers would be handed over to Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar and Legislative Council chairman A Chakrapani, so that the PRP legislators and MLCs would be treated as the Congress members hereafter.”
With this merger done, congress strength in Assembly has crossed 170+ and Chiranjeevi is one among those MLAs.
Due to this, Chiranjeevi, who has been sitting in front bench in assembly as a party leader along with Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, has now to sit at back benches as ordinary congress MLA.
Also he has to forego his independent chamber in the assembly lobbies. Besides, the separate legislature party office for the PRP in the assembly premises would also be withdrawn.
