Vimal's next is 'Neerparavaigal'

'Kalavani' hero Vimal is riding on a positive way. He is currently acting in two films- 'Ishtam' and 'Athanaikkum Aasaipadu'. Besides, he has signed a new project, titled 'Neerparavaigal'.

To be directed by national award winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy, the movie will be produced by high profile producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, grandson of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

"Neerparavaigal is a film that revolves around the lives of fishermen in Nagapattinam district. It will be an emotional tale which would speak about their travails on sea and the sand," says the director.

Seenu Ramasamy has roped in popular writer Jeyamohan to pen the screenplay and dialogues. "The movie would hit the floors soon. An official announcement will be made at the earliest," the filmmaker informs.

Actress Anjali hopes Engeyum Eppodhum


Actress Anjali’s stature in the film industry has sure gone up by several notches with her bagging the coveted Filmfare award for ‘best actress’ for her amazing portrayal of a salesgirl in the film ‘Angaadi Theru’. She is presently starring in Ajit-starrer ‘Mankatha’ and plays the lead role along with Ananya in the upcoming film ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’ (EE) opposite Sharwanand.

Vimal in Telugu remake Vaagai Sooda Va


Vimal has become a bankable star in Kollywood box-office, with almost all his movies making decent revenues. The actor, busy shooting for ‘Vaagai Sooda Va’, is all set to start his next venture.

The movie to be directed by Prem Nizar, who had worked as an assistant to director Chakri Toleti in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Unnaipol Varuvan’, will be based on Telugu romantic hit ‘Yemaindhi Ee Vela’.

Vimal goes for Kajal Agarwal sister Nisha


Kajal Agarwal’s younger sister Nisha Agarwal is all set to enter Kollywood. It has been reported that Nisha has been signed up to play Vimal’s pair in a film that is to be produced Balaji Studios.

She made her acting debut with the Telugu film Emaindi Ee Vela and a couple of Telugu films in her kitty. She is trying to establish herself in Tollywood and will also try her luck in the Tamil film

Ethan fails to release


Producer Nazir could not release his Vimal- Sanusha starrer Ethan, which was due for release today (May 20).

Late yesterday evening the decision was taken as the producer could not cough up the money required to be paid to his financiers and also settle old dues.

The irony of it is that Nazir is facing the same problem that his hero character faces in Ethan!

Thoonga Nagaram’, is ready for Release date

Thoonga Nagaram a clean 'U' certificate


Dhayanidhi Alagiri and his Cloud Nine's first ever production Thoonga Nagaram has been cleared by the Regional Censor Board in Chennai, with a clean 'U' certificate.

The film is likely to release on January 28 worldwide.

Thoonga Nagaram is written and directed by debutant Gaurav a former associate of K.S Ravikumar.
