Ratings: 2.25/5
Nikhil Siddharth, Madalasa Sharma starrer ‘Alasyam Amrutham’ under the direction of Chandra Mahesh released on 3rd December. Nikhil who proved his mettle in Happy Days is waiting for a solo hit from long time. This is 135th production venture from Suresh Productions and first film for Dr. D. Ramanaidu after receiving his prestigious DadaSaheb phalke award. Without much wait, we take you into the details of the review.
Story:
Ram(Nikhil), who stays in India gets a job in US. Before leaving to US, he visits Annavaram temple. While waiting for the train to reach back his home, he meets Vaidhehi (Madalasa Sharma) who runs away from home due to a forceful marriage. Vaidhehi has another flashback that she does not want to reveal to anyone. In the meantime, Ram and Vaidehi finds a year old baby left alone. Together they try to find the baby’s parents. What happens next? Will Ram be able to find the baby’s parents and solve the issue? What is Vaidehi’s story forms the rest of the story.
Highlights
Nikhil gave a lively performance and Madalasa Sharma is okay, but the chemistry between the two is limited. The makers could have worked more on this part.
The film moves humorously with characters such as Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam as a true Christian, Ali as a silent thief, AVS as astrologer and Jayaprakash Reddy as a typical faction leader.
Though the film is made in a single schedule, the movie has a poor screenplay. Alasyam Amrutham finally gives a message to the audience with a good theme but, fails to impress us on a whole.
Final Verdict
Though Alasyam Amrutham is made with a good theme and idea, the film lacks in the aspects of screenplay and brings us a feel of dragged product. Watch it if you have no other choice.
