Superstar Rajinikanth’s Thalapathi a mega blockbuster in Tamil directed by Legend Manirathnam will be remade in Bollywood. Bharat Shah the leading producer who earlier co-produced Manirathnam’s Saathiya, Dil Se has finally got the remake rights of Rajinikanth’s Thalapathi.
The producer believes that the movie will suit even current generation because of its strong storyline. The film in Hindi will be directed by Puja Jatinder Bedi, her last venture is Bollywood Thriller Ghost.
She says ‘I will take this as an honor in directing the film and will make Mani sir proud. Also she adds It will be a difficult job to cast the Superstar’s role in Hindi and I need to hunt for it, maybe Shahrukh Khan can handle it she smiles.
Thalapathi is an inspiration from a portion of Mahabharatha . The birth of Karna(Rajinikanth) and his friendship with Duryodhana (Mammooty) is the main soul of the film. The Hindi version will be titled as Dalapathi.
