Chiranjeevi explains merger reason

Chiranjeevi, who announced that his prajarajyam party merged with Congress party yesterday, tried to explain reasons behind formation of PRP and now its merging.
“Corruption was at its worst only during the reign of the late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. I launched the party in 2008 on the plank of fighting corruption.
I came to know only through media recently that the late YSR wrote a letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi saying that PRP members should be inducted into the state cabinet to strengthen the party.”
Chiranjeevi said that ex-CM rosaiah and present CM Kiran Kumar Reddy can be given clean chit for being non-corrupt.
Also Sonia Gandhi must be appreciated for taking quick steps against corruption in Adarsh housing case or Commonwealth or second-generation mobile telephony spectrum scam.
“Congress takes quick action against corruption. Everyone knows what happened in the cases of Adarsh, Commonwealth and 2G spectrum scam. Those accused were asked to quit,” he said.
Prajarajyam office staff and cadre are now confused about what they would be doing from today.
