Big-Budgeted films lined up in Tollywood!




Big-Budgeted-films_Tollywood_Summer-RaceThis summer is all set to begin on an exciting note with few biggies arriving with their Big-Budget films that were made with an investment of more than 130 Crore rupees. As soon as the World-Cup fever ends, there would be a series of big-budgets of the top-stars lined up- from the Young Tiger’s Shakti and Power Star’s Teenmaar to Young Rebel Star’s Mr.Perfect including the Daggubati & Akinneni clans Nenu Naa Rakshasi and 100% Love are all set for the release this April in close succession.
The biggest budgeted film till date in Tollywood’s history Shakti starring A1 Star NTR.Jr and Sexy Siren Ileana will hit the screens on 1st April. Shakti, produced by Ashwini Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies banner is about the story of the powerful Shakti Peethams and how they were safeguarded by NTR from the evil persons. Made with a budget of 45 crores, Shakti has a heavy dose of action and was shot in some breathtaking locales. Meher Ramesh wielded the megaphone for this socio-fantasy film.
Followed by Shakti, We have Pawan Kalyan’s Teenmaar on 14th or 21st April, which is the remake of Bollywood hit film Love Aaj Kal. The film will see Pawan Kalyan playing the dual role for the first time and also casts actresses Trisha and Kruthi Kharbandha. This will be Trisha’s first full length film with the Power Star after sharing screen space with him in a cameo role in Bangaram. The story is centered to four people with two parallel love tracks of different generations showcasing the love in modern generation to that of the past generation. According to director Jayant.C.Paranji, producer Ganesh Babu, Teenmaar is a Love cum romantic comedy and offers the full dose of entertainment. Pawan Kalyan’s dual roles, Trivikram’s dialogues and Mani Sharma’s music are said to be the highlights of the film.
Next to this, Young Rebel Star Prabhas will arrive to big-screens in & as Mr.Perfect on 21st April. After his cool romantic entertainer Darling clicking at the Box-Office last year, Prabhas has once again pinned hopes on this classy cool youthful entertainer romancing his Darling lady Kajal Agarwal. Tapsee is playing second fiddle to Kajal in this Dasaradh’s directorial. Dil Raju is planning to release the Mr.Perfect targeting the holiday season as such films gel with the family audiences.
Lastly, it ends with a great clash between the Daggubati and Akkineni young clans Rana and Naga Chaitanya on 29th April. Well, it would be quite interesting to see the brother and brother-in-law’s battle for supremacy at the Tollywood Box-Office.
After more than a year of his debut film Leader release, Daggubati Rana is finally reaching the screens with his second flick Nenu Naa Raakshasi pairing up with Tollywood’s slender beauty Ileana. Puri has crafted the role of Rana in a new dimension with a rough look. While Sekhar Kammula has shown this ‘Leader’ in a soft role, Puri has shown him in the role of a professional killer with rough looks. NNR team promises to offer entirely new script with a unique way of storytelling, which attracts people from all walks of life. This action packed love story produced by Nallamalapu Bujji under SriLakshmi Narasimha Productions banner is shot lavishly in Europe, Bangkok and Thailand.
On the same day, Stylish director Sukumar’s 100% Love starring Naga Chaitanya and Tamannah is opening in the screens. Geetha Arts is introducing Bunny Vas as a producer with this Stylish love entertainer. Speaking about the film, Sukumar says, “I tried to project Naga Chaitanya in a novel way. His characterization would appeal to the youth and family audiences.” While the presenter of the film Allu Aravind says “100% Love will surely become a cool love story of this year. Here comes to an end of the list.
Apart from Pawan Kalyan, rest of the four films belongs to the Young heroes and it would be a testing period for all of them at the box office as each of these films has its own craze, hype and expectations.
Although a series of films are in the pipeline hitting the theaters, people will throng to theaters only if the movie is promising, irrespective of its big budgets and the star cast. This is being proved all the time, and let’s hope our film-makers comes up with some promising subjects
